I have lived in Swindon for 10 years - it has its highs and its lows I guess - but in the words of Albert Camus' l'Etranger "after a while you could get used to anything" ;-)
I love to have adventures, but my purse strings don't stretch to many these days.
I live life with a constant backtrack of music playing in the background.
I love to go to live gigs (I can't believe the guy I was convinced was the love of my life for two years of that life hated live music - how mismatched was that, doh - Rhodders radar malfunction - but he did have a body to die for - will I get into trouble for being shallow ;-) lol!!!)
I am currently enjoying the challenge and freedom of living on my own for the first time in my life at 44, after my kiddies have flown the nest. (...who knew a house could make so many realistic people like noises in the darkest hours of the night when you are on your own - and where have all these spiders suddenly come from?!)
I'm trying to learn to play the ukulele - unsuccessfully....
I want to be an old fashioned pirate....
I am a happy singleton right now: I am not generally one of those people who needs a man to make me happy - but when I have found someone decent I have had this terrible subconscious habit of doing my best to sabotage things - here is the point where my friend Andy would give me that look of his and say..."oh no you've gone and done it again, that thing that you do, when you are happy"...*sighs*....I would have to say hands up to being a commitment phobe but working on it - others may just dismiss me as crazy cat lady in the making ;-)!
I just want everyone to get along and like each other and life to be full of rainbows and unicorns and candy floss - needless to say I am often disappointed!
Some may say I have too much time on my hands these days and, well, they may be right, but this blog should keep me out of mischief.
I was inspired to start this blog after seeing a friend's Facebook post about a 'Love EVERY body', body positivity challenge so a lot of my posts will be assignments given to me from the challenge.
Well that is a little about me. Welcome to my blog.
